For Our Time’s Sake features 20 works that combine traditional with visual imagery from 21st century technology. It runs from June 1-11.
The pieces combine elements of realism and avant-garde. In one piece, for example, he transforms a portrait into a computer screen by including a keyboard underneath the image of a pregnant woman.
His Trojan Horse which is offered for £9000, depicts The Iliad’s war machine constructed with computer parts.
Krivenko’s exhibition, his first solo show in London, takes place at the Strand Gallery (formerly known as Proud Central), a London space that is hired out for exhibitions. It is part of a cultural programme sponsored by the Russian Winemaker Fanagoria.
