■ Alan Cartwright of Jaguar Fairs launched his new two-day antiques and vintage fair at Nottingham Racecourse in February. Held four times a year, bookings for the July 29-30 fair are at 250, inside and out, with a waiting list, Cartwright told ATG.

■ It’s the 150th Heckington Show in Sleaford on July 29-30, described on its website as the largest village show in England. Held in the grounds of Heckington Hall, one of the popular attractions alongside the cattle, sheep and showjumping is the antiques marquee and vintage.
The two days also involve concerts, livestock, showjumping and vintage machinery at this Lincolnshire event.
■ In the pretty Wiltshire canalside town of Bradford-on-Avon, near Bath, with its 17th century buildings dating from the thriving local textile industry, Brian Ashbee holds his regular antiques and vintage markets. The next is on July 29.

■ In Bath on July 30, Naomi Knight is expecting the crowds at her market held at the Old Green Park Station. Held twice monthly, the audience for these Vintage & Antiques Markets includes prop buyers, stylists and designers as well as collectors looking for interesting homewares.
“This is a popular destination for those seeking something individual, green and stylish that won’t break the bank,” said Knight.

■ At Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, near Stratford-on-Avon, Ruby’s Vintage Fairs is holding a vintage and retro fair on August 5.
■ The streets around the centre of Winchester will have plenty of choice from vintage, retro and collectables stalls on August 6. The regular monthly market is organised under the umbrella Winchester Markets by Winchester City Council.
