The Great Southern Flea and Collectors’ Fair at Nash Street Farm, in the village of Lower Dicker, near Eastbourne in East Sussex, will take place on Sunday, August 6.

Newark-based B2B Events’ most successful event in the fairs portfolio is the monthly Malvern flea and collectors’ fair at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

It regularly attracts 500 stallholders and 5000-plus visitors, so Helen Yourston, B2B director, is enthusiastic about the new joint venture.

“Our intention is to bring some of the Malvern magic to the south and it’s certainly shaping up that way,” she said. “Being an entirely outdoor event, with just a few marquees, we imagine many exhibitors may be weather-watching. But with pre-bookings being taken up till noon on Friday, August 4, there’s still time.”

Organising the event locally is Sharon Blagrove of Bentleys, which runs decorative salvage and vintage fairs in Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire, and a flea and collectors’ fair at Windsor Racecourse. Blagrove said of this new fair: “We’re looking forward to welcoming new dealers from the surrounding area including Rye, Hastings and St Leonards.”

Yourston added: “With a flea fair you never know what you will find. Dealers have been known to turn up with a complete house clearance to sell. There are bargains galore.”

B2B Events’ next Malvern flea fair is on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, while Bentleys Fairs is at Knebworth Park on Friday and Saturday, July 29-30.
