A large 21in (52cm) vase by Waistel Cooper sold for £1600 at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s July 6 sale in Taunton.
The trio of Porlock-era wares, made for the vendor’s father in recognition of his work at Culbone Church, went to three different bidders.
A room bidder paid a hammer price of £1600 for a large 21in (52cm) vase, shown above, with typical textured surface decoration and signed Waistel to the base.
In recent years, prices in the £50-300 range have been typical for Cooper.
