The mid-18th century candelabra that ATG reader David Whitelaw is keen to track down.
Some years ago, before I retired from the antiques trade, the classified page in ATG was headed by an oval scene taken from a Hogarth print. This print pictured a candelabra which was an exact copy of mine.
I have hunted for years, but failed to track down this print, which was one of a pair, being a type of ‘before and after’.
Would any of your readers know the name of, or be able to email me, an image of this oval scene?
