Inscribed Tria Juncta in Uno – three joined in one – to invoke the three nations’ alliance against Russia in the war, it was produced by the Staffordshire pottery, TJ&J Mayer, in Longport.
It has an estimate of £200-300 at BBR’s catalogued auction later this month on January 29 The sale is an element of BBR’s two-day 120-150-stall WinterNational fair weekend of antique and vintage bottles, potlids and advertising material on Saturday and Sunday, January 28-29.
Held at the Elsecar Heritage Centre, near Barnsley in Yorkshire, these combined auction and fair events have been running four times a year for nearly 30 years.
