This year, two of its main attractions, The Bath Decorative Antiques Fair and the Bath Vintage & Antiques Market (BathVA) have teamed up to host a tour of both events over the course of a day.
The annual fair and the bimonthly market coincide this year on Sunday, March 5.
Dealer Edd Thomas of Edd in the Clouds will lead visitors across each on a tour of antiques from different styles and times and explore how these can work together and in the modern home.
His ‘Style up Top Picks’ tour will reflect the ethos of his shop, which encourages the mixing of contemporary and vintage pieces.
Thomas is the chairman of the Antiques Young Guns and the tour will be covered on social media in real time.
It is one of a series of tours and talks planned for the decorative fair so far, which includes a tour by Judith Miller on collecting, ‘Judith’s Top Picks for Collectors’, which will be video streamed on social media.
Tickets for both tours are free and available on a first-come, firstserve basis on the decorative fair website.
BathVA, which runs the first and last Sunday of every month, is an under-cover market and regularly includes live entertainment.
The Bath Decorative Antiques Fair runs from March 2-5.
The next edition of the BathVA takes place on January 29.
