He and his wife, Margaret, who both discovered their passion for glass in their teens, trade as E+M Glass from their studio in Wales where they specialise in strongly-coloured tableware.

Also standing at the 70-dealer event on Sunday, February 26, organised by Paul Bishop of the Cambridge Glass Fair, is the Bulgarian contemporary artist Guergana Sabkova. She will be selling pieces created in her Northampton glass studio, Reflexion Glass.

She recently created The Frost, inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem Frost at Midnight: The Frost performs its secret ministry/Unhelped by any Wind.

Made of fused glass, frits and powders and kiln-formed to create a sculptural look, it was then sandblasted and drill engraved to emphasise the detail.

The Frost was for sale at £750 but has been recently entered for a competition and is currently unavailable.
