The company that compr i ses Dreweat ts & Bloomsbury and the Mallett dealership signed a lease for new premises over three floors at 16-17 Pall Mall last year.
According to chief executive James Harvey, builders have begun work on the site with the expectation of opening in March. He said the company is currently drawing up a calendar of sales for the location.
Auction licence granted
Westminster City Council granted the auction premises licence for fortnightly auctions last week.
Previously the company (a subsidiary of the Stanley Gibbons group) said the new building allows for “independent gallery space for Mallett alongside a central London hub for Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions”.
Dealers Alan Cristea, Philip Mould and Panter & Hall all now trade from Pall Mall.
