The show runs from February 5-25 and many of the pieces have never been publicly exhibited before. Works in the exhibition were produced from 1949-88, during which time Gear’s print-making was hardly known in comparison with his paintings.
Many of the prints were produced in small editions of 25 or less. Prices for pieces at Fosse start at around £500.
Imposition is one of an edition of 10. Measuring 22 x 15in (56 x 38cm), it is available for £1200.
