He grew up in Hersham, Surrey, and attended Surbiton Grammar School.
Geoffrey commenced his career in the 1950’s at Carrington & Company of Regent Street, and went on to work for Liberty, Philip Antrobus of New Bond Street and Charig of Old Bond Street.
In the early 1980s he became a widely respected pearl stringer and restorer of jewellery (his particular area of expertise was restoring antique pearl jewellery).
Geoffrey’s knowledge of jewellery, and all things associated, was extensive and in demand.
He also had a keen interest in antiques, attending many auctions and sales.
He will be sorely missed by family, friends and the jewellery trade.
