An original 1960s British Rail enamel station sign for Aberystwyth station in Wales is included in East Bristol Auctions’ sale on August 18.
The 3ft (91cm) long sign is in good condition, with some paint retouching in places to the original cream and brown British Rail colours.

A small 8in (7cm) high Roman glass jar is priced at £200 from London antiquities dealer CJ Martin Coins & Ancient Art.
Dated to the 3rd-4th century AD, it has a lustrous yellow colour and mother-of-pearl-like iridescence, the result of chemical processes that occurred after the vessel was buried.
Such receptacles were used by both men and women in the home. They were commonly strung on a chain or cord and may have once had metal or glass stoppers attached.
