Thirteen members of the trade organisation will stand at BADA Collection, which takes place at The Lanesborough hotel in Hyde Park Corner, London, from October 6-8.

The luxury event, which will be monitored by 24-hour security, features a selection of high-quality pieces from a select group of dealers. It is pitched at collectors, curators and interior designers.

Though many of those showing at the fair are regulars at BADA’s annual fair in Duke of York Square in London, Adrian Alan (specialist in furniture and works of art), JAN Fine Art (Asian porcelain and works of art) and Cohen & Cohen (Chinese export porcelain) will take part in BADA Collection as their first event with the trade body.

Rarefied and select

Dominic Strickland of Michael German Antiques (walking canes, arms and armour and maritime antiques), who will stand at the fair, decided to apply for it because it offers the chance “to reach beyond our core market of collectors. It’s a return to the sort of bespoke type of fair of the Grosvenor House variety – though it is smaller.” He will be bringing a more “rarefied and select” assortment of stock than he might take to other fairs.

BADA fair committee member Sandra Cronin (antique jewellery) said: “This show will broaden the scope for BADA.”

The complete list of participants is: Adrian Alan, Atelier, Beedham Antiques, JH Bourdon-Smith, Burlington, Cohen & Cohen, Sandra Cronan, Michael German Antiques, Mark Goodger at Hampton Antiques, JAN Fine Art, Sanda Lipton, John Spink Fine Watercolours and Strachan Fine Art.
