Denby Holdings, the studio’s owner since 2011, is trying to find new premises.

If they don’t, then Poole Pottery production will continue in Stoke but the studio with its hand-thrown and one-off pieces will go.

We have been running a campaign to try to save it, with Fieldings Auctioneers founder Will Farmer, of BBC Antiques Roadshow fame, lending his support.

The pottery has a 144-year-old history in Poole and I am sure you agree it needs to be saved.

Editor Noelle McElhatton replies: ATG is pleased to support this campaign and have publicised it via a story on antiquestradegazette.com and on our Twitter and Facebook channels.

We also include here the link to a petition to Poole council to save the studio for the town which (as ATG went to press) 1785 people have already signed.
