The theft took place sometime between the end of March and the beginning of June this year at the soon-to-be 89-year-old's residential care home.

The three stolen rings are: an engagement ring with a platinum band and a single large solitaire with diamond baguettes at the sides; a platinum wedding band c.0.4mm wide with a faded engraved pattern; and a later platinum gate ring which is shaped.

When the ring was purchased it was described as “handmade platinum and diamond ring with large round claw set centre diamond with three baguette diamonds on either side in a rubover setting”.
