The book is being sold by the vendor who obtained the signature as a girl when she was on set as an extra during the filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001.

Filming took place at Goathland, North Yorkshire, the location for the fictional village of Hogsmeade.

Verity, the consignor, was invited to be an extra as she had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for leukaemia at the time.

Among the signatures that she collected on set were from Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Emma Watson (Hermione Grainger), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Chris Columbus (director) who wrote ‘Believe in magic’ and Roy Button (managing director of Warner Bros Productions).

Verity was also invited to Leavesden Studios to visit the studio sets including Diagon Alley and the Great Hall in Hogwarts. The letter of invite signed by Button is included in the lot.

The book and associated documents will be offered with an estimate of £300-500 in the auction house’s TV & Film sale on June 26.
