The teapot lid is decorated with a a peach and pip form finial and is believed to be Qianlong mark and period.
The 5.1in (13cm) ceramic came from a local private collection to Dorchester auction house Duke’s earlier this year.
It was hammered down to a buyer on the phone after a battle against other phone bidders and in the room.
Its rare shape and the peach finial enhances its attractiveness - the peach is a symbol of long life.
Buyer’s premium was 25%.
