BADA has rented 46 Pimlico Road for two weeks – from June 25-July 9, covering the period of The Art & Antiques Fair Olympia and Masterpiece, the latter located under a mile from Pimlico Road in the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
A total of 43 dealers, several of whom are also exhibiting at Masterpiece and Olympia – have signed up for BADA Collection (see list, below), an exhibition curated by BADA council members Peter Petrou and Laura Bordignon.
The 'pop-up' event is a first for BADA, which is supporting the live event on its bada.org website with an online showcase hosted for the two-week duration.
Exhibits will include a boulle bureau plat by Toms and Luscombe, which featured in the 1962 James Bond film, Dr No.

Butchoff Antiques will display this Bureau Plat made in the Louis XIV manner by Toms and Luscombe and shown at the 1862 International Exhibition, London. Made in the manner of André-Charles Boulle, it has complex arabesque première-partie inlays on an ebony ground, the whole richly dressed with bronze doré mounts. At 91 in (230 cm) wide, the desk starred in the 1962 James Bond film, Dr No, starring Sean Connery, shown in the quarters of baddie Dr Julius No.
Wide value range
Objects on show at the 2000 sq ft-plus floor space at 46 Pimlico Road range in value from four figures to half a million pounds.
“All are fantastic examples of their type,” said BADA chief executive Marco Forgione, adding that the exhibition was “about providing opportunities for collectors to acquire from BADA dealers more regularly throughout the year”.
The age range of objects is from antiquity to contemporary.
