On offer will be 361 lots of vintage and modern pens by many of the most famous brands including Waterman, Parker, Cartier, Montblanc and Montegrappa.
Vintage rarities feature a number of Montblanc examples such as a 1925 architect’s pen in the original carrying case estimated at $2000-3000 and a No 12 Goliath from c.1922-28, arguably the rarest vintage model from this firm, which is guided at $6000-9000.
Earlier in date is an eyedropper pen from Waterman, No 402, dating from c.1888-98. It is one of only two known examples, features a case with an elaborate cable twist design and has an estimate of $10,000-15,000.
A rare vintage Japanese lacquer pen is the Pilot-Namiki made c.1930 by the master craftsman Shogo. Its red lacquer case is sprinkled with mother-of-pearl and gold and it is expected to fetch $30,000-40,000.
