3) UK issues export bar for Turner masterpiece sold at Sotheby’s auction
The UK government has issued an export bar for JMW Turner’s Walton Bridges which had sold in a Sotheby's auction in July.
Joseph Mallord William Turner's oil on canvas 'Walton Bridges', believed to have been painted in 1806, sold at auction in July 2018 for £3.4m and is now temporarily barred from export from the UK.
