The picture in question is a 2ft 9in x 3ft 5in (83cm x 1.03m) oil on canvas titled Ships off the Coast, a Storm approaching with figures on the foreshore by Dutch marine painter Wigerus Vitringa (1657-1725). The dealers are displaying it in a frame which plays a video with sound on an 8 minute loop with stormy weather every two minutes.

“I wanted to enhance the atmosphere and the feeling you get from looking at this picture,” said Campbell

Asked for his opinion on TEFAF Maastricht’s opening day, he said: ““It’s definitely been very busy so far, we feel a good vibe ande veryone seems very positive. We’ve already done a few sales so we’re very pleased with proceedings so far.”
