1. French silver sugar box

This French silver rectangular sugar box by Andre Aucoc (1887-1911) will be offered at Roseberys on November 22 with an estimate of £400-600. It is in good condition measuring 2.5 x 5.5 x 4in (6 x 14 x 9.5cm) and weighs approximately 15.5oz. It is stamped to the base A. Aucoc with a Minerva head.

2. Austro-Hungarian casket

This Austro-Hungarian enamelled silver-gilt and rock crystal casket is late 19th century Viennese and is estimated at £2000-3000. It will be offered at Matthew Barton’s 25 Blythe Road sale on November 21-22. The bevelled rectangular crystal panels are engraved with foliate scrolls and star motifs and surrounded by cloisonné enamelled flowers. The 6.5in (17cm) long casket has an enamel-painted interior with an oval of Apollo and the Muses.

3. Anglo-Indian sewing box

A rare 19th century Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam ivory sewing box in the form of a colonial house will be offered at Clevedon Salerooms in Bristol on November 22. The hinged cover with an oval reserve with the initial M is 7.5in (19.25cm) wide. It has some condition issues including the back panel which has a split running along approximately 2.5in (7cm) and one hinge has an area of infill around it. It is estimated at £3000-4000.

4. Silver cigarette case

This continental silver cigarette case has an image of a horse and jockey to the lid, an engraved inscription to the interior and is stamped GES GESCH. It one of several cigarette cases offered at John Nicholson’s in Haslemere on November 22 and has an estimate of £500-600.

5. Tortoiseshell case

The following week, on November 29, Nottingham’s Mellors & Kirk will offer this silver and tortoiseshell cigarette case. Made by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1922, the 4in (10cm) long case is offered at £150-200.
