In a foreword to the supplement, published this week and distributed free to ATG subscribers, the mayor writes that the art and antiques market’s summer calendar is proof that “London is open to business,” despite the UK voting to leave the EU.

Declaring himself proud to be mayor of “one of the world’s great art and antiques capitals,” Khan says the 2017 London Summer Capital of Art supplement showcases London’s "great cultural diversity and opportunity, with doors opening across the city to welcome people from every nation”.

London Summer Capital of Art

London Summer Capital of Art celebrates the best of London's art and antiques summer season.

He points out that “one in every six jobs in the capital is in the creative economy” and that London’s cultural scene is the key driver for most visitors to the city.

The supplement, free to ATG subscribers or available for £20, features a shopping guide, fair previews, interviews with leading dealers and famous buyers such as actor Richard E Grant, along with a critical exploration of Kensington Church Street by leading interior designers.
