Measuring an impressive 17ft 5in (5.3m) long from the tail to the tip of its massive tusks, the skeleton was acquired by Pierre-Etienne Bindschedler from Strasbourg, CEO of SOPREMA, a building materials firm specialising in waterproofing.
The SOPREMA company logo is a mammoth and the businessman wants to exhibit the specimen in his business premises.
The sale took place on December 16.
