Logsdail received an OBE from the Queen for services to the arts. He co-founded the London gallery in 1967 and has championed the careers of a variety of artists including sculptor Anish Kapoor.

Others in the art world to have been awarded an OBE were the artists Bob and Roberta Smith and Ryan Gander. 

Painter Chris Ofili received a CBE, as did Jenny Waldman, director of 14-18 NOW, the First World War centenary art commemoration project.

A group of people were also presented with OBEs for the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Commemoration which included the commissioning of new public art works. Awards were presented to the commemoration committee executive director Mark Gill, City of London Corporation’s Anthony Halmos and John Champion, chairman of local heritage group Odiham Society.
