Christie’s has promoted Dirk Boll to become president of its Europe, Middle East, Russia and India division.
Boll joined Christie’s in 1998 in London and later worked in Germany and Switzerland and has run a number of regional offices for the firm.
Cerutti said: “Dirk combines being a true art connoisseur with long, proven, commercial experience and acumen.”
Cerutti said Boll will oversee client activities in the region working closely with its specialists.
In December Cerutti was promoted to his role of chief executive, replacing Patricia Barbizet who is now vice chairman.
Cerutti officially joined Christie's in September from Sotheby’s where he was chief executive of its French business and European deputy chairman.
