Munn is director of the London jewellery firm with more than 40 years of experience in the trade. He takes the place of Hertfordshire antiques dealer John Bly who has held the post for more than 10 years.

Munn accepted the appointment saying he was “honoured” and was looking forward to “continuing the great work of my predecessor”.

The BADA Cultural and Educational Trust supports training and education efforts. Their activities include sponsoring full-time restoration and conservation courses at West Dean College and assisting with the purchase of items for national museums.

The Friends of the BADA Trust was formed in 1991 to allow members of the public to participate in the organisation’s work.

“As dealers, we are privileged to live and work with exceptional objects on a daily basis,” said Munn. “I believe it is our duty, via the work of the BADA Trust, to ensure that those outstanding works of fine art, design and antiques are not only enjoyed by the widest possible audience but also by many generations to come.”
