Doerr Valuations brings together former members of a team that worked with US firm Pall Mall Art Advisors before its European offices closed earlier this year.
Rachel Doerr the described the new venture to ATG as “valuations pure and simple for the purposes of insurance, probate, tax and divorce” – a departure from the Pall Mall model that has made art advisory a key part of its business.
The firm will operate from headquarters in London.
McIlroy (best known as director of Piano Auctions) has worked with Doerr since 2006, when she was tasked with setting up the valuation department of Lyon & Turnbull.
