The outlet, at 9 Langton Street in Chelsea, will be similar to the flagship shop in Tetbury. It will include both antiques sourced by owners Toby Lorford and Lesley Ferguson and Lorfords’ new contemporary design line, Created.

“The decision to open in London was a simple one,” says Lorford. “We see the new shop as a conversation hub for our London-based clients and the ultimate showcase for the Lorfords brand.”

Lorfords will retain the two aircraft hangars from which it operates in Gloucestershire as well as the Tetbury shop.

However, the London space is set to have a different look from the existing spaces – “think bright wallpapers and splashes of colour alongside the antiques and Created furniture,” Joanna Ferguson told ATG.

The basement at Langton Street will be used as a fabric showroom and a space for buyers to customise elements of their bespoke pieces from finish to fabric to size.

“We understand that great service is all about making the client journey as seamless and pleasurable as possible and so we are keen to place ourselves at the heart of it all,” Lorford added.
