Antiques Trade Gazette’s London Summer Capital of Art 2016 supplement, published this week along with the weekly newspaper, has received the support of culture minister Ed Vaizey.

In a foreword to the supplement, Minister Vaizey writes of the UK arts and antiques sector as “a source of national pride” which “sets us apart on the global stage and attracts millions of overseas visitors every year”

This year’s supplement goes behind the scenes at London’s major summer art and antiques fairs and includes ATG’s expert pick of the best objects and art for sale in the next two months.

As well as an extensive calendar of dealer exhibitions and auctions, the 2016 London Summer Capital of Art sees a comprehensive map of dealer locations around London.

Under the spotlight are London’s rising auction house stars including Roseberys and Chiswick Auctions.

Dealers give their predictions for the forthcoming season while the Fine Art Society is the subject of a special focus in its 140th anniversary year.
