Now a collection of Reeves’ paintings will be offered for sale at Westenhanger Auction Galleries near Hythe in Kent.

Reeves, whose real name is Jim Moir, lives in Charing in Kent and is friends with auctioneer Michael Hogben who is taking the auction. Hogben is also Reeves’ art agent.

Hogben said: “Vic has been enjoying a recent spurt of inspiration which, along with his heavy schedule of television and radio work, has resulted in some of his finest, and occasionally most avant-garde work.”

Around 50 paintings by TV comic Vic Reeves’ will be auctioned at Westenhanger Auction Galleries on November 13, among them is this painting, entitled Woodland Lady 2. It is the original from a print series and carries an estimate of £2,000-3,000.

The auction includes more than 50 lots of artwork by Reeves that have a variety of subjects such as singer Michael Jackson and TV personality Noel Edmonds.

Comedy partner Mortimer, who lives in Tunbridge Wells, features in one of the paintings which has been used on the front cover of Reeves & Mortimer's 2016 tour programme.

The artworks have been on display at Westenhanger Auction Galleries for the past week.
