The book fair, which advertises itself as the largest antiquarian book fair in Britain, features 220 dealers from across the UK, Canada the United States and Europe.

The book fair is organised by the Provincial Booksellers Fair Association and its price point is wide ranging. Featured stock includes anything from rare original manuscripts to 20th century paperbacks.

Calligraphic, bookbinding and paper-making demonstration will take place throughout the fair and there will also be musical performances to open the event.

The two-day fair (September 16 and 17) takes place at York Racecourse and runs alongside the CAMRA Beer Festival, which organisers encourage visitors to look in on as well.
