The new committee will be chaired by 22 year old Joseph Trinder of Wotton Auction Rooms, who is working towards a collaboration with NAVA, the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers, of which he is vice chairman.
Other members are Edd Thomas (Eddintheclouds Antiques), Jason Clarke (Jason Clarke Antiques), James Gooch (Doe & Hope Antiques), Marika Clemow (ATG Media) and Tim Medhurst (Duke's Auctioneers).
A formal handover will take place at Antiques for Everyone at Birmingham's NEC on November 21. McLeod, Hill and Johnson have stepped back to concentrate on their own businesses but will retain ownership of the organisation.
The next Antiques Young Gun of the Year award is set to be announced in April 2016 at the spring Battersea Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair.
