"Throughout 2014, at the various events arranged by SOFAA, members seem to have been more optimistic about the market. There have been many high-value successes across our membership and some of our larger members have really solidified their positions as internationally recognised centres of excellence.

"SOFAA membership continues to go from strength to strength and the focus for the coming year will be to continue our programme of CPD and education events. It has been particularly pleasing to see so many young faces at our events which signals a healthy 'next generation'.

"There will be another CITES update this year held in conjunction with ATG - of which more details to come.

"Then, of course, we have the Consumer Rights Bill (currently making its way through Parliament) to look forward to. SOFAA will of course be supplying its members with briefing notes as it did for the Consumer Contracts Regulations which came into force in June 2014. No doubt the election in May will have an effect on economic activity - it will be interesting to see what changes a new government might bring."
