The 9.75 x 14in (25 x 36cm) signed watercolour Eel Boats, Dinan comes from an important private collection and is not thought to have been on the market since it was last exhibited at the Leicester Galleries in 1947. Indeed, it was almost certainly originally exhibited at the same dealership in October 1928 where it was likely displayed alongside Nevinson's watercolour Dinan from the Viaduct which shows a view of the same town in Brittany but in the opposite direction.

Here, the main focus was on the arches of the viaduct as well as the boat masts and bridge with figures in the centre.

It is estimated at £6000-8000.

The same sale will also feature works by other 20th century British artists including Edward Seago and LS Lowry.
