The second half of June also sees major events in the British social sporting season such as Royal Ascot, Wimbledon, Guards Polo and Royal Henley Regatta.

The event will also move from the enormous Grand Hall at Olympia, which the organisers have struggled to fill with stands in recent years, to the smaller National Hall next door, the venue for the Winter Fine Art & Antiques Fair  in November.

Fair director Mary Claire Boyd said of the move: "By changing our dates to June 18-28, this will make London even more compelling for all those interested in arts and antiques. We are responding to the needs of the trade who recognise that many important international buyers choose to make only one visit to London in June. This will help to underpin London as the global focus for art and antiques during this period."
