He expressed his wish to resign from the role in a letter to the president of the board of trustees, Willem Baron van Dedem, but will stay on as Chairman Antiquairs and continue to sit on the board of trustees and the executive committee.
Baron van Dedem thanked Mr Janssens for his innovation and contribution to the significant growth of the fair in the past seven years.
Willem van Roijen, who has been a member of the EC since 1997, has been elected as his successor. Baron van Dedem also thanked Robert Aronson for his efforts as interim chairman.
