On July 13 Mr Miceli, 72, was found dead with head injuries at his home in Duston, from where he ran his own coin and medal dealership.
Mark Ellson, 40, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder and remanded to appear at Birmingham Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on October 28.
