Liam Hughes, 22, and 19-year-old Jason Parker, both of Coltsfield, Stansted, Essex, had both pleaded guilty to two charges of theft, and appeared at St Albans Crown Court on November 12 where Hughes was sentenced to 12 months in custody and Parker to the same time in a young offenders institute.
The sculpture and plinth, which were taken from the foundation in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, overnight on July 10-11, were recovered by police after an appeal on BBC's Crimewatch.
Police said a metal dealer had bought the piece - valued at up to £500,000 - in good faith for £46, but called them following the TV appeal.
Working Model for Sundial 1965, a 22in (56cm) high sculpture, is normally situated in the gardens of Hoglands, Moore's house, located so it can be viewed from the large sitting room.
Richard Calvocoressi, the foundation's director, said: "We hope that the successful outcome of this investigation will help to stimulate interest in Moore's Reclining Figure, which was taken from the foundation in 2005. The reward of up to £100,000 is still available for information relating to its recovery, subject to special conditions.
