The saleroom is located at 960 Cherokee Street in Denver's so-called Golden Triangle, close to the Denver Art Museum and the new Clyfford Still Museum.
Aided by a network of regional representatives, Hindman are already conducting sales in Naples, Milwaukee and expect to launch in New Orleans later this year.
"The current market is creating the perfect environment for the expansion of our firm," says Leslie Hindman, its president. "People are interested in selling their valuable personal property in an effort to raise capital or retire debt. Additionally, the influence of the global art market and strong prices have resulted in consecutive record years for our company."
The Denver office representatives, Maron Hindman and Annie McLagan, both previously worked in Chicago. Annie McLagan, formerly a director of architectural salvage company Salvage One, has worked as a Hindman representative since 1995, while Maron Hindman was the director of marketing at the saleroom from 1988 to 1996. The inaugural sale at the new rooms will be the Anne S. and Robert E. Clay collection of Native American art on March 11.
Meanwhile, in order to meet the demands of the Washington, D.C. market, Quinn's Auction Galleries has relocated to a new venue in the heart of suburban Falls Church. Its sister auction company, Waverly Rare Books, is also headquartered at the new three-storey premises on 360 South Washington St.
