Bids in the region of £1000-1500 are expected at Plymouth Auction Rooms on May 9 for this Eureka four-glass electric clock.

Invented by American engineer Timothy Bernard Powers at the turn of the 20th century, Eureka clocks were patented by the Kutnow brothers in 1906 and made in London between 1908 and 1914. This example measures 13in (33cm) high and comes in a mahogany case.
