This Chinese cloisonné enamel crane from the Qing Dynasty (18th-19th century) will be offered in Dreweatts’ Donnington Priory sale on June 27.

The 2ft 4in (72cm) high crane stands on a double pedestal, decorated with lotus and foliage on a turquoise ground.

The crane is an important Chinese symbol of longevity and immortality and this enamel has intricately detailed body and legs are enamelled in white within gilt outlines.
