A joint venture between Silverstone Circuits and Midlands automotive entrepreneur Nick Whale, Silverstone Auctions will specialise in sales of classic cars, modern supercars, competition cars, modern and historic motorcycles and automotive memorabilia.
The company will hold three sales this year and four in subsequent years – all at Silverstone Circuit's prestigious new £30m building, The Wing, where up to 100 vehicles can be displayed.
This year's first event is the Moto GP Sale, featuring motorcycle and bike memorabilia, which will be held on June 11, the Saturday of Moto GP's British round at Silverstone.
The Silverstone Classic Sale on July 23, during one of Britain's largest historic racing events, and the Walter Hayes Sale on November 4 will offer classic cars, motorcycles and automobilia.
