Pictured with him, left, is Fabio Rossi of Rossi & Rossi in Clifford Street, who won the three-dimensional works of art award for an 11½in (29cm) high Buddha Sakyamuni, in bronze with silver inlay, from Kashmir, complete with its original cast bronze back panel and dating to the 17th century.

Also pictured with Mr Bridge is dealer Carlo Cristi, who won the two-dimensional works of art award with an unusually large, 4ft 11in x 2ft 5in (1.5m x 74cm), mid-7th century AD, Central Asian polychrome silk fragment decorated with large roundels containing confronted lionesses feeding cubs.

Mr Cristi was exhibiting throughout Asian Art in London at The Weiss Gallery in Jermyn Street.
