Steamer in Rough Sea a picture on an OXO tin lid, estimated at £3000-4000 at Barnes Thomas' sale on October 18.
The chest was inherited by the owner from his aunt, who was Wallis' neighbour, and it contained numerous pictures on cigarette packets, painted newspaper clippings and tin lids.
All are unseen since Wallis's death and believed to be the last works that he produced whilst in Madron work house.
