The 31/2in (9cm) mug with later engraving, indistinct maker's mark and hallmarks for London 1722, was taken from Mr Wilder's stand at about 10am.

Also taken was an unusual Edwardian 11oz caddy with monogram, hallmarked London 1904 with maker's mark WS&H Ltd for Huttons; a water jug with ivory handle and a Georgian pint tankard, later embossed and converted into a jug with an added spout.

Mr Wilder suspects they may have been taken by a group of thieves as the pieces were spread around his stand but removed at the same time.
