THE Ashley-Russell case will be the focus of the next Fakes and Forgeries seminar at Goldsmiths' Hall in London on November 22.

In September 2008 Peter Ashley-Russell was sentenced to three years imprisonment for the faking and forging of 39 pieces of silver – spoons, forks, coffee pots and a tazza – using fake hallmark punches he had made himself.

This seminar offers the chance to handle some of the pieces he created and hear the whole background to the case. London dealer Alastair Dickenson will be the principal speaker.

Tickets for the day (including lunch) cost £80.
