The show, which runs from January 23 to February 7, includes works by Shaun Greenhalgh, the jailed forger who is thought to be responsible for one of the widest range of fakes ever to find its way onto the market and who was caught after the notorious Armana Princess debacle that fooled the British Museum.

Works by John Myatt, the artist jailed after forging 19th and 20th century paintings, will also be shown.

The police are using the exhibition to highlight issues linked to art fraud and how they tackle it, and are hoping that it may help reduce art fraud in future.
