Bloomsbury Auctions are to increase their buyer’s premium from 20 to 22 per cent.

The new levy will apply from September 3 when, in a rare departure, the saleroom is holding a sale of Printed Books, Paintings and Prints without reserve.

Many of the lots on offer will be the ex-stock consigned from Heritage Bookshop in Los Angeles but in addition it will include many previously unseen items.

There will be no printed catalogue (an online edition will be found at www.bloomsburyauctions.com from mid-August) and no condition reports will be available for any of the items. The minimum bid accepted will be £25.
