As reported previously in ATG, Mr Campbell, who runs Coburn Antiques, had registered www.burrellsantiquesdesks.co.uk and www.burrellsantiquesdesks.net and was effectively using them to block traffic to the Burrells’ website. Instead, those logging onto the web addresses found themselves directed to www.antiquesdesk.net.
The Burrells lodged an official complaint over Mr Campbell’s use of the www.burrellsantiquesdesks.co.uk name with NOMINET, the internet dispute resolution service, saying Mr Campbell was in breach of their Abusive Registration policy.
Nominet have now ruled in the Burrells’ favour over and they anticipate lodging a further complaint over www.burrellsantiquesdesks.net.
